INDIGENOUS MATTERS

The lawyers at Cooper, Sandler, Shime & Schwartzentruber LLP regularly represent Indigenous clients faced with a variety of offences, including serious offences such as aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, sexual assault and breaches of long-term offender orders. Many of our lawyers are members of the Legal Aid Ontario Gladue Panel and regularly appear in Gladue courts across Ontario for the purposes of conducting bail hearings, trials and sentencing hearings on behalf of our clients. Our lawyers are well-equipped to provide meaningful and culturally-aware representation for our Indigenous clients.
